Kohala Coast, Hawaii
Inspired by the stunning blues and greens of the Kohala coastline, DRD designed this vacation home to be a vibrant family gathering place. Throughout the 7,000-square-foot residence, DRD paired pieces collected on the family’s travels to Tahiti and Bora Bora with custom furnishings, lively prints and textural materials. In the master bath, for example, a wall of lava rock functions as a bridge between the shower and the bath, and connects the interior and exterior architecture. Parisian Thomas Boog pendant lights made of opalescent oyster shells, a cast-stone dining table top and a custom bamboo sofa are among the custom pieces.
